Orthopeadic surgeons answer please !!?

i punched a door ( which i know was stupid) and i beleive that i definatly broke it, it the laft hand on the pinkie side and its the bone at the side of the hand about 2 or 3 centimetres above the pinkie knuckle. its been 2 months now and its still sore and there is a bump where i think it broke, its still sore when i do certain thinggs and i have been told tht if it is broken nd its healing in the wrog way, tht they will re brake it and put wires in, is this true and wot will happen?
