What does this bible verse mean?

the question of Egypt in "Bible prophecy" as some prognosticators somberly intone. What are these two chapters in Isaiah saying? Are they not talking about the specific nation of Egypt at the time Isaiah wrote? Would that not be a place to start, as we attempt to understand Isaiah 18 and 19? And, if we think that the prophecy is going to "happen" again -- then we must, as I suggested before, take a careful look at historical events which might "fit" the words of Isaiah 18 and 19, before we start making an application of Isaiah 18 and 19 to the newspaper reports of Egypt in 2011. So get out your history books. Isaiah probably wrote these chapters sometime between 750-700 B.C. So what happened to Egypt in the next 100, 200 and 300 years? What was Egypt like when Jesus was born -- and what has it been like the last 2,000 years? Is there anything in that long history which would fulfill these chapters in Isaiah 18 and 19?
